The sterilized filling (which is still wet from the steam) can be dried with a post vacuum. "Only" vacuum pump drying works until the autoclave chamber is hot enough to evaporate the water in the charge.

In the case of a large load - such as many textiles, filters, or packaged devices - the energy stored in the chamber is usually not enough, so additional energy must be brought into the system at the same time as the post-vacuum.

The Systec VX, DX and H-series devices do this with the vacuum system and the SUPERDRY option.
In this case, the hot steam supplied by the steam generator enters the pipe built on the outer wall of the chamber, thus providing the energy needed to evaporate the water. In this mode, the autoclave can be used as a "drying cabinet".

Its integrated drying technology is not visible inside the chamber of Systec autoclaves. The chamber is still completely empty from the inside, no pipes obstruct the full use of the interior space and easy access.

The safety certification of the pressure-resistant containers of Systec autoclaves is valid for one million sterilization cycles. Only then should the autoclave be subjected to the hydrostatic test again.

To remove the moisture from the sterilised instruments (holow items, filters, wrapping material), additional energy is required to evaporate the water. There is a second coil around the chamber, that is feeded by the steam.
