ELTRA's new TGA Thermostep analyzer is suitable for fully automatic, fast and reliable determination of the moisture, volatile matter and ash content of a large number of samples.
19 +1 jars (19 samples +1 reference) can be inserted into the sample changer of the analyzer.

The device analyzes the samples automatically according to the computer program. The jars do not need to be removed or manipulated between individual analyses, because thanks to the double turntable, the samples can be closed or opened with a jar lid as needed.

The ELTRA TGA device has particularly effective cooling at temperatures below 300°C: a fan protrudes from the device housing, which quickly cools the sample without the intervention of the operator. Due to the rapid cooling, the TGA Thermostep device starts the next analysis much faster than any similar analyzer on the market.

Other features:

The design of the oven is also significantly different from all other makes; the bottom is flat, the upper part is high and gas-sealed. Due to the tightness, the gases released during the analysis cannot escape from the space (whereas the chimney-like opening at the top of other products and the gaps in the lower parts specifically help the gases escape).

The escape of gases is problematic because the desired concentration of the purging gas cannot be maintained due to the large amount of air passing through the furnace area.
A significant advantage of the sealed oven (TGA Thermostep) is that the purging gas (oxygen or nitrogen, depending on the application) is always present in the right concentration, which is an essential condition for reproducible analysis.

The carousel-turning mechanism of the ThermoStep consists of a stepping motor and a fine gear. As a result, the distance between the two jars is 1,600 steps, which gives 32,000 steps for the complete revolution of the carousel. Gearless solutions allow only 40 steps between two jars, so ELTRA's ThermoStep ensures 40x more accurate adjustment.

Ergonomic handling
In ELTRA ThermoStep devices, the crucibles are not sunk into the lower part of the furnace, so it is very easy to measure the samples into the crucibles. The carousels of the ThermoStep are free-standing, so the operator has easy access to the crucibles, unlike devices where the crucibles are deep in the lower part of the furnace.
