In horizontal flow cabinets, the sterile air flows outward from the entire surface of the back wall of the workspace, then passes through the interior of the cabinet in the direction of the operator – protecting the samples from external contamination – and exits the cabinet from the front.
BIOBASE produces two types of horizontal cabinets: 570 and 650 mm internal height. The cabin with a lower interior height is more equipped than the 650 mm height, as it also has a motorized window, its UV lamp has a timer, and a gas valve is also installed in this cabin. The cabinets are produced in 4 width sizes: 980 and 1,380 mm internal width (with an internal height of 650 mm) and 1,200 and 1,700 mm internal width.
The sterile air (99.999% = H14 purity) is produced by a DOP-tested HEPA filter according to EN1822. The washable pre-filter increases the life of the main filter. If the air speed is not adequate (the filter is clogged), the alarm function is activated.
The material of the cabinets is steel plate protected with antibacterial paint. The safety glass windows on the side ensure adequate visibility, and valves for the introduction of gas,CO2, and vacuum can be mounted on them if necessary.
The work surface is an easy-to-clean stainless steel plate. The 720 mm working height cabinets have the lighting, the UV lamp, the gas valve (the larger ones also have the water tap) and the water-free electric plug. The cabinets with a working height of 600 mm - apart from the pins - come with all the above-mentioned equipment.
All BIOBASE cabinets are delivered with a rollable / leveling stand. The devices are characterized by a low noise level (<60dBA).
BIOBASE cabinets are tested to BS EN ISO 14664-1 Class 5.
