SHIMADZU has been producing balances since 1918, making it the largest balance manufacturer in Japan today.

They have significant innovation behind them: they patented the first direct-reading balance in 1950, and Shimadzu also developed in 1989 the one-piece weighing cell - still considered the most modern - called the UniBloc.

The UniBloc measuring cell replaces 70 parts, which form a very complicated measuring system in conventional balances operating on the electromagnetic principle. Unibloc provides excellent performance and tolerates the effects that normally affect balances much better than traditional load cell balances.

Other manufacturers call a load cell similar to the one above Monoblock.

SHIMADZU balances meet the highest quality requirements, their stable and reliable construction results in accurate laboratory measurements. The range of balances to be presented ranges from professional semi-micro balances, analog and warehouse balances to mass check balances with large measuring platforms.

SHIMADZU balances are generally characterized by fast setup, compact construction, high stability and the high quality of the Japanese components used. With the control panel equipped with convenient push buttons and a large LDC display, the measurement can be easily performed.

The data transfer options of each type enable computer processing and printing in accordance with the strictest laboratory standards.

Their latest development is the extremely fast stabilizing AP series balance family. Prior to this, the excellent price/value ratio ATX-series UniBloc balances were introduced to the market.
