MEMMERT's ICOmed series devices are modern, direct-heated CO2 incubators, which are made of stainless steel inside and out. The efficiency of the heating is ensured by the heating elements located on the four sides. The protection against overheating is independent of the control system, ensuring the protection of samples even in the event of a possible failure of the control.

Maximum CO2 stability is ensured by an infrared sensor. The temperature and humidity can be easily adjusted on the microprocessor controller. Each type has weekly programming, the basic configuration is equipped with a parallel printer output. A USB or Ethernet port is also available as an option.

All devices are equipped with a state-of-the-art diagnostic system, which warns with sound and light signals of conditions different from the set ones, such as low / high temperature, low / high CO2 level, open door, empty CO2 bottle, humidity error, empty water tank (for active humidity control).

On the "basic device" the humidity can be regulated between 88 and 97% RH (optionally up to 40-97%).
The CO2 range is 0-10% for the basic device, which can optionally be requested from 0-20% (see options).

More details

The interior of CO2 incubators is easy to clean because the chamber is made of electro-polished stainless steel and the corners are rounded. The internal glass door allows insight into the inside of the devices without changing the internal conditions.

The built-in fan ensures uniform conditions without turbulence at all points in the chamber. The built-in sterile filter ensures that dirt does not enter the interior. Optimal temperature distribution is also facilitated by the perforated shelves.
