RETSCH's new product is the AS 200 jet type, air-operated sieving machine. The device can be used particularly well for sieving light powders (separation, fractionation, particle size determination), such as powder, flour, toner cartridge, washing powder, pigments, powder paints, plastic particles, etc.

Sieves with a hole size of 10 microns or larger can be inserted into the device. This sieving method is very gentle in terms of the sample, because there is no need for sieving aids, such as e.g. brushes or balls. An average drizzle lasts only 2-3 minutes.

The AS 200 JET uses the suction power of an industrial vacuum cleaner for sifting. The suction nozzle rotating under the sieve with a cover ensures the dispersion of the samples on the surface of the sieve mesh.

The sieving machine can be optionally equipped with automatic vacuum control, which constantly maintains and monitors the air flow, thus increasing the repeatability of the sieving process. The drizzling time and suction nozzle rotation speed can be conveniently set with a single button on the graphic display controller. 9 operating parameters can be stored in the memory. In the Quick Start mode, the device can be started under normal conditions without entering any screening parameters. Particles that are smaller than the hole size of the screen are blown by the suction air into the Cyclone (collection container) or the vacuum cleaner. The suction jet helps prevent the accumulation of particles and continuously cleans the sieve mesh.

With the RETSCH EasySieve software, sample preparation can be automatically evaluated and documented.
