The RETSCH AS 200 sieving devices are precise and reliable tools for testing the particle size distribution in quality assurance and research and development areas. They are suitable for separating powders, granular and bulk materials, suspensions according to particle size, with a high degree of reproducibility.

The devices perform the shaking – in a unique way in the world – in three dimensions: they produce a circular movement in the horizontal direction and a shaking movement in the vertical direction at the same time. The use of this special shaking technique offers the following advantages: large shaking mass, particularly quiet operation, short shaking times and accurate results. The amplitude of the shaking and the operating time can be adjusted. In addition to the standard 200 mm diameter sieve, other sizes (100 mm, 150 mm and 203 mm) can also be installed on the machines.

The devices are available in three versions:

AS 200 basic: the simpler member of the sieve family. The shaking time and amplitude are displayed on a digital display, the amplitude is not controlled. The device cannot be calibrated.

AS 200 digit cA: the next member of the sitar family. The shaking time and amplitude are shown on a digital display, the sieving can be interrupted (interval sieving) and the amplitude is controlled. The device cannot be calibrated.

AS 200 control: microprocessor-controlled device providing constant and calibratable amplitude. This type uniquely controls the acceleration automatically (between 1-17 g) when the shaking amplitude is set to more than 2 mm. All parameters can be adjusted digitally, the process can be evaluated via the USB connector, and it can be documented according to the GLP standard. The equipment meets the requirements of ISO 9000. With the optional EasySieve PC software, all work parameters (sieve series, configuration, sample weight, sieve machine settings, etc.) can be saved, and - in addition to the grain distribution - the characteristics of the operation can also be displayed graphically. The device can be calibrated and arrives calibrated!

The devices are suitable for both wet and dry sieving. The clamping unit, collection container and sieve line must be ordered separately. The sieves can be ordered separately in the required size, or in standard sizes, in a series of sieves (see options). The machines are available with several clamping units (Economy, Standard, Comfort) and for wet sieving.
