VELP's SER 148 extractor family is suitable for separating the components of materials - for example, extracting fat. Two devices are used for the rapid extraction of fat: 3 and 6 positions.
Main field of use: extracting soluble components of food, feed, rubber, soil and pharmaceutical samples.
The application is based on the Randall method, according to which the sample can be plastic or solid (the method uses immersion, washing and solvent recovery).
The RANDALL method has three main advantages over the "traditional" Soxhlet method:
- can be about 5 times faster (hot solvent versus cold solvent)
- uses less solvent (good solvent recovery)
- lower analysis costs.
The SER 148 devices guarantee the complete safety of the operator thanks to their IP55 protection.
