Spray cooling - completely independent of water cooling (spiral cooling) and fan-assisted cooling - very fast liquid cooling.
It can only be used in completely sealed and pressure-resistant, unlabeled containers (infusions, vaccines, ampoules, etc.). For cooling, it uses the sterile condensed water at the bottom of the autoclave by passing it through a heat exchanger, and then spraying the sterile water, already a few degrees colder, onto the glasses from the top of the chamber.
Extremely good efficiency: the cooling time is approx. It can be reduced by 90-95% compared to self-cooling (about 15 minutes instead of 3-4 hours). Of course, this also requires compressed air.
Thanks to the compressed air support, the bottles can be filled up to their nominal volume, and there is no loss of liquid from the tubes and flasks.

More informationsThe self-cooling of the liquids - due to the thermal insulation of the autoclave - only happens very slowly. Faster access to the sample can be achieved by rapid cooling.
More informationsThis rapid cooling uses the principle of evaporation of the sterilized liquid, so some liquid loss (5 - 10 %) must be expected.
