HPLC pumps (for the S 500 system)

The pump type S 1125 is available in two versions: isocratic and low-pressure quaternary gradient pump. The pump is equipped with a stepper motor, which provides a much better resolution in the low flow range than conventional DC motors. Thanks to the two-piston pump head and the electronic pressure compensation, these pumps are suitable for all HPLC and GPC applications. The gradient version includes the mixing chamber, for which the 4-channel vacuum degasser can be requested as an option.

The volume of the mixing chamber can be adjusted as required (10-500 µl). During routine maintenance, the pump head is easily accessible to the user via the front panel of the device (e.g. replacement of seals). The pumps are made of PEEK or acid-resistant steel, with Micro (0.001 - 4 ml/min), Analytical (0.001 - 10 ml/min)) and Semipreparative (0.1 - 40 ml/min) heads. Automatic sample injector

60 1.5 ml standard sample containers or 1 microplate can be placed on the tray. Dosable volume: adjustable between 0.1 and 999.9 μl. "Zero Waste" injection mode for dispensing very small sample volumes. Its specialty is the double needle system. the outer needle pierces the septum, thus protecting the inner needle from possible blockage due to pieces of the septum. Optional: pre-column derivatization, sample heating/cooling, automatic sample dilution. Dual sampling needle to avoid clogging.

Detectors

UV-VIS (S 3245): 190 – 800 nm, one or two channels, with built-in peak detector, optional online scan

PDA (S 3345): 190 - 720 nm (256 diodes), or 190 - 1015 nm (1,024 diodes), with built-in peak detector,

RI (S 3585) Refraction index detector: Micro-, Analytical- and Semi-preparative versions, with thermally isolated optics, counter-flow heat exchanger, programmable temperature control.

Column thermostat

3 columns with a maximum length of 350 mm can be placed at the same time. With leak detector, overheating protection, +30 -150 °C temperature control, with Peltier cell active cooling/heating option +5 -100 °C, which can be used to program the temperature over time

Vacuum degasse

Semipermeable membrane technology. The membrane has a 5-year manufacturer's warranty. 1-, 2-, 3- and 4-channel versions.

Instrument control, evaluation (for all chromatographs)

The device is computer controlled. The hardware is controlled by the Control module of the Clarity software. The software is user-friendly and easy to learn. The chromatographic evaluation software called Clarity, which is FDA-21 CFR Part 11 compatible, is also used for data collection and measurement evaluation.
