The N 920 is KNF's revolutionary new, 3-diaphragm vacuum pump with continuously adjustable speed. The device has two significant novelties: one is the stabilized front membrane (patent); and the second is the direct current motor, which can make even a single revolution as needed.
Diaphragm stabilization eliminates the pressure difference between the top and bottom of the diaphragm, thus the pump's operation becomes significantly quieter and the delivery capacity increases. The stabilization of the membrane is illustrated in the double color diagram on the left. On the left side of the picture we can see the deformation of a "traditional" membrane, while on the right side we can see the stabilized membrane. Here the membrane appears to be stress-free; therefore the pump will be quiet.
The speed of the pump can be regulated with a rotary knob. KNF incorporates this pump into its special SC 920 vacuum system.
