The efficiency of rapid cooling with a cooling coil can be further increased by mixing the pressurized air in the autoclave chamber.
In this case, the moved air meets the object to be cooled (flask, etc.) several times during a unit of time, so it can transport more heat from it to the cold surfaces cooled by the water.
The cooling time is approx. It can be reduced by 70-80% compared to self-cooling.
In Systec autoclaves with a chamber volume of more than 65 liters, the air mixing fan is built into the concave door. Therefore, the fan does not take up any useful space in the chamber.
Up to two fans can be installed in large autoclaves: one in the door, the second in the end of the chamber.
The cooling time can be further reduced if a heat exchanger (UltraCooler) is installed under the air mixing fan(s). With this solution, the self-cooling time of the autoclave is approx. It can be reduced by 80 - 90%.
Thanks to the compressed air support, the bottles can be filled up to their nominal volume, and there is no loss of liquid from the tubes and flasks.
More informationsThis rapid cooling uses the principle of evaporation of the sterilized liquid, so some liquid loss (5 - 10 %) must be expected.
More informationsExtra fast cooling, cools down a 150-liter autoclave in about 10-15 minutes, in which approx. 40 liters of liquid were sterilized.
More informationsIf the autoclave already has spray cooling, but the bottles must not be sprayed directly.

More informationsThe self-cooling of the liquids - due to the thermal insulation of the autoclave - only happens very slowly. Faster access to the sample can be achieved by rapid cooling.
