The automatic spreading device (spiral-plater) is an indispensable preparatory device for automatic colony counting. It is easy to use (it can be learned in five minutes), and its repeatability is excellent.

On the device's color touch-screen control panel, you can start one of the stored standard spreading programs, or you can create a new program by specifying the desired dilution-dosing ratio. A small amount of the sample prepared with SMART DILUTOR or another traditional method is poured into the sterile sample container.

We insert the magazine containing sterile syringes into the opening at the front of the device, from which the spreading device takes out a syringe for each new sample. This syringe is used to suck up the sample (max. 100 μl) (even more than once, if we want to spread it on several different culture media). Then, a device moving on a rail places the syringe over the petri dish and, moving it spirally from the inside out, expands the sample. This is how the Archimedes spiral is made, which delivers the sample to the culture medium according to the selected spreading method (there are currently 22 different spreading algorithms).

After the spreading operation, the mechanism of the device throws the used syringe into the container collecting the laundry.

The device is suitable for plating 90 and 150 mm Petri dishes.

A complete laying cycle takes only 30 seconds! The device is then immediately suitable for the next plating, there is no need to flush the system or change tubes, because the sample only comes into contact with the replaceable sterile syringe.

The two RS 232 outputs of the equipment allow for the connection of a printer and a bar code reader. Additional 3 USB and 1 Ethernet connectors are available for connecting external devices.
