Measurement of mercury directly from the sample

The DMA-1 mercury analyzer determines the mercury content directly from the sample, without chemicals or any kind of wet chemical sample preparation, in just 5 minutes.

The DMA-1 binds the mercury content of the sample transformed into a gas phase during thermal decomposition in an amalgamator until the other components leave, and then determines the amount of mercury using atomic absorption photometry. Its measurement range is from 0.003 ng to 1500 ng. This corresponds to a mercury concentration of 15 mg/kg measured in a 100 mg sample.

"With a 6.5"" color touch-screen controller and operating software (21 CFR Part 11), for quick (only 5 minutes) determination of total mercury from socover, liquid or even gaseous samples without sample preparation (using the gas sampler option) ). Operating principle: atomic absorption spectrometry Light source: low-pressure mercury vapor lamp, 253.65 sq.m. Detector: silicon diode UV photodetector. Sample handling, atomization: everything happens inside the device, programmable pre-drying (up to 20 - 300 °C), annealing (up to 800 - 1,000 °C), and further oxidation of the gases (up to 550 - 650 °C) in the catalyst. Acceptable sample amount: up to 1.5 g, or for liquid samples max. volume: 1500 µl. Sample weight input: automatically from the optional scale (RJ 45 port) or manually. Sample delivery: done individually. Detection limit: 0.003 ng Hg. Measuring range: 0.003 - approx. 1500 ng Hg). Reproducibility: < 1.0% @ 10 ng Hg (for homogeneous sample). Carrier/burning gas: oxygen or purified air (4 bar). Elimination of disturbing effects: follows automatically from the operating principle of the device, after burning the sample, the combustion products leave the system while the mercury binds to the gold amalgamator.
